Club Roll Up
Monday Evenings
5.45 pm for a 6.00pm Start
Our Monday evening roll up is open to all club members no matter what your level of experience. These are friendly games to help you practice or ‘keep your hand in’.
Our new format means if you’re running late you can still join in, or if you need to head off early, that’s fine too. Plus, everyone builds up points over the season and the person with the highest score gets an award at the end of the season.

Come along and support our internal league competition played every week. The teams are very competitive, especially towards the end of the season, as everyone wants to win the coveted 'Avian League Winners' award for the team with the highest points.

Start: 2.00pm
A Bank Holiday friendly game where everyone attending is put into teams, with the shots being totted up at the end to decide which side is the overall winner. No need to book, just turn up on the day.

Impaired Bowlers Friendly Match

Start: 1.30pm
The club is once again holding a Friendly match with the Impaired Bowlers team. We always have a great day and it’s a good atmosphere, whether you are watching or playing. If you would like to take part, please put your name on the list on the notice board in the clubhouse.

Fixed Jack
Sunday, 9th July 2023
Start: 10.00am
As the name suggests, this is a fixed jack, knockout competition. This is a singles game, playing alternate fixed short and full length jacks over 6 ends. Whoever gets their woods closest to the jack wins, but if you knock the jack off its marker, it gets put back again. If you wish to take part, please enter your name on the form on the club noticeboard.

Braintree Bowling Club will be hosting this Roadshow, which is open to all clubs to buy Bowls, Clothing, Equipment & Accessories.

Presentation Evening and AGM

This is an opportunity for all our competition finalists to receive an award for reaching the finals. Added to this, we have our Annual General Meeting, which includes nominations for club committee / non-committee positions for next season.
It’s also a great social evening to catch up with everyone and we even order in from the local fish shop, so please come along and support our finalists and the club.
5.00pm – Presentation of Competition Awards
6.15pm - Fish/Chicken and Chips (enter your order on the notice board in the main hall).
