Over 2,000 Face Masks Supplied to Care Homes by Club Members

At the start of the Pandemic, Olive Hawkins contacted local care homes to check their need for face masks, to which the response was enormous.  To meet this need, Olive sourced her own material to make the masks, but it soon became clear that more help and material was needed to make masks.  To this end, Olive put a request out to Bowling Club members who rallied round to supply resources and conduct collections and deliveries.

With the help of Braintree Bowling Club and WI members, Olive supplied 2,175 masks to care homes and Bowling Club members and families.
