Please be considerate to your team members if you cannot play on your scheduled date and follow the process as below:

• If you cannot make your scheduled game, you must first contact your opposite team members to sub for you.

• If your team members cannot cover you, it is acceptable to ask an Avian member from another team who is not due to play on your week and provided they will not be playing against their own team.

• If no Avian player is available, it is acceptable to ask a club member* (see note below) who is not in the Avian league, but please do not leave this until the Friday evening as your team could be left with a player down.

• You must let your skip / team know who is covering you.

• If these lines are exhausted, please contact the Avian Coordinator by Thursday at the latest who will try and get cover for you.

* Note – please do not ask newcomers to stand in for you until you have checked with the Avian Coordinator that they are eligible to play in the Avian as per club procedures.

Also, a reminder that you are asked to arrive at 5.45pm and not at almost 6.00pm when the game is due to start. This is so your team know they have a full complement, rather than trying to organise an alternate person who may not be necessary; skips to collect in rink fees at the start of the game.
