1919
30th April – A meeting was held in the offices of Homes & Hills where it was agreed to form the Braintree & Bocking Bowling Club.
The club was formed by a group of local business men led by George Hunnable.
6th November – The club held their first Annual Dinner at the Horn Hotel (now Costa Coffee), where George Hunnable was thanked for giving a new green to the club on his New Town Estate.

1920
March – The club opened their 5-rink green.
August – Clubhouse opened.

1921
7th February – Club affiliated to English Bowling Association.
Approval that the Horn Hotel become the Club’s HQ.

1922
11th April – George Hunnable offered another piece of land to the Club.
5th May – Club applied for a bar licence.

1924
26th July – New Pavilion opened.

1926
Harry Tribble made the Finals of the County Singles Championship for which the Club presented him with a set of 4 bowls.
